The California Driftwood Company is a brother and sister collaboration creating truly unique found art and one-of-a-kind handcrafted treasures from the coast of Southern California. We learned to appreciate art from our mother, Sharon (Hilton) Mann. She was a painter, sketch artist, knitter, DIY’er, surfer, marathoner, kids crochet books author, crochet designer, world traveler, art blogger, creator of Francklyn Kat, learned to work on her own VW Bug and mixed media artist who showed us both how to see everyday objects with a different view.
When our mom passed away in 2020 after a 15-month battle with Glioblastoma (F*ck Cancer!), we both decided to continue her life’s passion and begin creating art through our own visions.
Collectively, we’re parents, travelers, abstract artists, painters, surfers, musicians, avid beachcombers and overall good peeps.
We love heading to various beaches along the Southern California coast and combing the shoreline for anything that looks interesting washed up on the beach.
Getting together for regular Sunday breakfasts, we take our picking bounty and create unique one-of-a-kind found art pieces that any ocean, beach or coastal enthusiast can appreciate.
